Retreats & Gatherings
Time away from the ordinary to experience God's grace in new ways. Time dedicated to renewing and building friendship. Time to just be in the presence of the Spirit and to listen. New experiences in new places. Opening hearts and minds. These are some of the reasons to go on a retreat or to attend a gathering.
Bethel offers many opportunities for people of all ages to experience the joys of retreats and gatherings. Groups of children and youth spend time at Mt. Cross Camp. High Schoolers attend the Western States Youth Gathering and the ELCA Youth Gathering which come around every three years. Men and women experience regional and national retreats as well.
Post-COVID for both the congregation as as the larger church, traditional retreats and gatherings are continually changing and adapting.
