Children & Youth
We are dedicated to nurturing the next generation to make a difference in their world. We offer a variety of faith-building opportunities including active participation roles during worship and age appropriate youth groups. The focus of each group is building relationships with each other, our congregation, and with Christ. Activities are planned to balance pure crazy fun with service to the community.
Demographic changes have led to some program rebuilding and the creation of youth group for our littlest members -- its intention is to build bonds between families and help forge friendships the children will want to continue as active participants in "youth group" as they age. Currently, all of our children share fellowship as members of the Little Lutherans group. We will continue to adapt programing for children and youth as our congregation grows and changes.
Historically, Bethel has offered a strong Confirmation program for Middle Schoolers and a dynamic High School Youth Group. As our current children age into more opportunities we will once again, spend time attending weekend camp retreats and participate in both the Western States Youth Gathering and the ELCA Youth Gathering.

Little Lutherans
Families are encouraged to attend these fellowship events for children from birth through elementary school. Activities take place about once a month and include park play, seasonal crafting, simple servant activities, and pool parties -- most events include sharing of snack or even potluck lunch. Older and younger children work together to build faith and friendship bonds. Check our Calendar for specific dates and details for Little Lutheran activities.

ZOOM -- 3rd, 4th, & 5th graders
ZOOM kids participate in Little Lutheran activities, but ZOOM is also a space just for them. ZOOM kids serve their community through participation in events such as Run to Feed the Hungry and the Souper Bowl of Caring. Each Fall, ZOOM heads to Mt. Cross Camp in the Santa Cruz Mountains for the Sierra Pacific Synod Elementary Retreat.
